Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies

Bright Minds. Talent Masters.

Students drive leading research, innovation and scholarly advancement. Our university is home to more than 800 graduate and postdoctoral students — a high achieving pool of specialized talent destined to become tomorrow’s leaders. They tackle society’s most difficult problems and are uniquely qualified to create new devices, processes and technologies that lay the foundation for future generations of products and practices.

To support our exceptional students in their research, we work with our donors to fund initiatives like the Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) and the Queen Elizabeth II Graduate Scholarship (QEII GSST).

These programs encourage excellence by providing merit-based scholarships to Ontario’s best graduate students. Under these programs, a $5,000 contribution to support master’s and doctoral students will leverage an additional $10,000 in provincial government funds, tripling the value of the award to $15,000.
