Black Athlete Association Bursary
Led by the Black Athlete Association for Marginalized Groups (BAA), the Ridgebacks are teaming up with Nipissing University to “Shoot for Change” at their basketball games, focusing on advocating for anti-racism initiatives. One of the goals of the events being to establish a bursary to support Ontario Tech student-athletes whose heritage is self-identified as either Black or Indigenous and who demonstrate financial need.
Our commitment is to ensure a sustainable, transparent, and efficient philanthropic program. To help achieve this, 5% of donations to expendable funds, with the exception of student financial support, are used to partially offset the costs of receipting, administering, tracking and distributing funds.
