2021 Chancellor's Challenge

The inaugural 2021 Chancellor's Challenge was a remarkable success. Chancellor Mitch Frazer’s challenge was to help Ontario Tech students by running or walking 7.2 kilometres  which is the distance between the north and south locations of Ontario Tech — every day for four weeks, regardless of the weather. The Chancellor’s Challenge began on Family Day (February 15) and culminated on Ontario Tech’s annual Pi Day of Giving on March 14.

In all, he ran or walked more than 380 kilometres during the Challenge, roughly the cumulative distance from Toronto to the heart of Muskoka and back. Many others in the campus community followed the Chancellor’s lead and joined the Challenge in their own way by running or walking, and asking family, friends and colleagues to participate with a gift to the fundraising campaign.
