In my research we use pi a lot and we use it for many different things. In micro-fluidics, we’ll use it to calculate the size of the fibers we have in our paper based micro-fluidic devices. We also use it in our bio-inspired evaporative cooling so we have droplets and in order to figure out the size and capacity of the droplets we have to use pie there as well. Even when we’re building sustainable engines and we’re looking at piston sizes – again, pi will come in there to tell us the size and volume of these different pistons. So lots of different ways we use pi.of Engineering and Applied Science
